MCHC An Active Member in International Housing Partnership
October 30, 2012 - Métis Capital Housing Corporation is an active member of International Housing Partnership - a confederation of not-for-profit housing corporations in Australia, Canada, the US and the UK. Each of those four countries has a co-ordinating network, and in Canada that company is the Housing Services Corporation, which is based in Toronto. Nineteen different organizations from across the country were represented at the Vancouver conference.
The most recent Leadership Exchange of the Partnership was held in Vancouver in October, where there was representation and presentations from delegates from across the world on the topic of not-for-profit housing.
MCHC Senior Managers attended the Exchange and returned to Edmonton charged with new ideas and concepts to increase the effectiveness of the operations.
Habitat for Humanity Edmonton (HFHE) welcomed a family to its new home in the Beverly neighbourhood Wednesday.
The renovated house is one of five being fixed up through a unique partnership with the Metis Capital Housing Corporation (MCHC).
